Losing belly fat does not come by as easy for most people – that would explain why there are so many more people who do have belly fat, compared to very few of those who don’t.

Why is losing belly fat so hard?

Losing belly fat is only as hard as you make it. The reason people think it’s hard is because it takes hard work over a period of time and people want results now. All you really need to do is educate yourself about what you need to be eating on a daily basis. Once you decide that you’re going to cut the crap out of your diet, you’ll start losing belly fat within a matter of days. Seriously. So much of what you eat directly affects the way your body looks. If you consume a lot of processed foods and foods high in sugar, it’s going to show. To start losing belly fat, simply change your diet and eat more fresh fruits and veggies, lean meats and good fats.

How can I motivate myself to be successful at losing belly fat?

  1. Throw away all of your junk food and fill your cabinets with healthy foods. That way, every time you reach for something to eat, it’s going to be something healthy. Junk foods are filled with calories and fat, meaning that it doesn’t take much of those types of foods to meet your caloric needs for the day. If you’re eating fresh fruits and veggies, you can eat so much more food and it’ll be healthy and filled with the nutrients your body needs.
  2. Start moving! Begin by just moving your body 20 minutes per day at least 3 days per week. If you want quicker results, move faster, longer and more often. For instance, walk 6 days per week instead of 3. You’ll burn more calories.
  3. Start building muscle. Strength training will help you build muscle mass, helping your body to start burning more belly fat. Concentrate on all of your major muscle groups: Chest, back, legs, arms, abs and calves.
