Lose Belly Fat Quickly With HIIT
High intensity interval training – or HIIT – is a great way to lose belly fat quickly. I wouldn’t say it’s the easiest way to lose belly fat quickly because it does take hard work on your part, but the harder you work the faster it will pay off.
If you’re familar with interval training, HIIT is a step above that. Instead of intervals of running, jogging and/or walking, HIIT consists of 20 to 30 second sprints followed by 40 to 60 seconds of walking or other similar types of intervals. Continue those intervals for about 20 minutes.
Always use caution when performing HIIT because it is harder on your body and the risk of injury is increased. It’s not something you should constantly do, maybe more like once or twice per week. It will help to lose belly fat quickly – especially if you couple it with a healthy diet rich in fresh fruits, vegetables, proteins and whole grains.
Here is an example workout that you can try:
- Warmup for 5 minutes @ a 4 mph pace
- Sprint 20 seconds (at a speed that you couldn’t possibly go for more than 20 seconds – really push yourself)
- Walk 40 seconds
- Repeat steps 2 & 3 20 times (for a total of 20 minutes)
- Cool down for 5 minutes @ a 4 mph pace
In order to lose belly fat quickly, you really need to work hard at and eat right. It is easier said than done and it will take hard work, so just set small goals for yourself and try to stay focused. If you follow those 2 principles, you will start to reduce the overall size of your belly in no time!
