How to Go About Getting Rid of Stomach Fat: 3 Things To Do Before You Even Start
If you are interested in getting rid of stomach fat, you need to be in the right mindset for it because it takes a dedicated person to get in shape and getting rid of stomach fat falls into that category. Come to terms with yourself that it will take work. Know that you cannot just sit around and expect your stomach fat to vanish. If it didn’t take hard work, everybody would have flat stomachs!
Follow these tips so that you don’t set yourself up for failure:
- Set small goals. If you don’t set goals for yourself, you’ll never be happy with where you are and you’re more likely to give up. Start with a small goal – like losing 2 inches off of your waist. Once you have attained that goal, it will help motivate you to keep going and make another new small goal.
- Track your progress. If you don’t track your progress, you’ll never know where you are. Before you even begin, take waist measurements. Measure around your waist at about the height of your belly button. Record this measurement for future use. Choose a date that you’d like to check in and compare. Make sure you wait at least 2 weeks in between. If you’re working hard you should be noticing some results within that time frame, but don’t start measuring yourself every day or you’ll make yourself crazy frustrated.
- Throw out the junkfood. Go through all of your kitchen cabinets and throw away everything containing high amounts of fat or sugar – especially sugar. Eating foods with a lot of sugar on a regular basis will make it almost impossible to ever begin getting rid of stomach fat. Sugar likes to stick around, so don’t eat too much of it.
So if you set small goals for yourself, track your progress and throw the junk food away, you’ll be well on your way to getting rid of stomach fat!
