Lower belly fat cannot be spot-treated. The only way to really get rid of lower belly fat is to move your body regularly and eat a healthy diet. If you have a lot of lower belly fat, you’ll have more work ahead of you and the harder you do work, the faster you will see results.

So What’s The Move?

Cardio. A word that so many of us dread, including myself. I perform cardio 3 days a week and I still hate it. I used to just lift weights and skip cardio and then once I made myself start doing cardio regularly I noticed even more weight loss and my lower belly fat began to disappear. I’ve had two children, so I know all about lower belly fat. Regular cardio activity of at least 30 minutes per day coupled with a healthy diet will get rid of lower belly fat, and you will lose fat all over your body. Lucky for us, belly fat seems to start burning off first.

Even if you don’t have a lot of lower belly fat, cardio is still a great exercise for your body. You can mix up the activities and do whatever you’d like, as long as it gets your body moving and elevates your heart rate for at least 2o minutes.

Some cardio activities include:

  • Swimming
  • Hiking
  • Biking
  • Walking
  • Running
  • Jogging
  • Canoeing
  • Kickboxing
  • Dancing
  • Skipping
