What Is The Best Way To Lose Belly Fat After Having A Baby?

After having a  baby, belly fat can seem impossible to get rid of. It’s important to realize that it took 9 months for your belly to get as big as it did, so you should expect it to take around 9 months to get back to it’s pre-pregnancy size.

So what is the best way to lose belly fat after having a baby?

The first thing you need to do right after giving birth, is to be sure you’re eating a healthy diet regularly. Immediately cut the crap food, processed food and foods with a lot of sugar. If you choose to breastfeed you’ll burn an extra 500 calories per day, so this can really help expedite your weight loss. Since you can’t be physically active right away, you can jump start your belly fat loss by eating healthy foods, including protein and healthy fats.

Once you are able to begin exercising, begin exercising. Even though it’s exhausting having a newborn, exercising actually gives you an energy boost. Try to do a cardio exercise of your choice for 30 minutes a day, up to 7 days per week. Rest days are important though, so I’d recommend giving yourself 1 or 2 of these per week so you don’t burn yourself out and quit all together.

After a couple of weeks, add strength training exercises. Strength training is important to build and tone your muscles. Gaining muscle mass helps your body burn more calories.

So, the best way to lose belly fat after a pregnancy is by making sure you’re eating healthy and then start exercising as soon as you are given the okay.

Nice post, I think its just the shift for women. There use to eating for 2 and then all of a sudden they are eating for one again. I see a lot of women pick-up weight after they have a baby. It happens ladies, don’t worry though you still look beautiful.
